Estuary Kayaking & Wildlife Observation

Experience a great paddle on stable and comfortable kayaks along the Boca estuary. Learn about the ecosystem and observe the abundant biodiversity. Encounter multiple birds, iguanas, turtles, and many more organisms that live in this special place.

Culture & nature Hike at the Sierra Madre

Join us on a moderate hike along the river’s edge and discover the beautiful flora and fauna of the Sierra Madre Mountains. Refresh and swim at the waterhole El Salto where we relax and enjoy the peaceful outdoors. We then hike back to the nearest village for an experience in the traditional way of living, by sharing a homemade lunch with a local family at their adobe house.

Mountain Cave Hike (Geology & Ancient Culture)

Experience this great hike (moderate – strenuous) to the top of the mountain through our lush jungle. Trek into the big chamber and learn about the geological origins of this limestone cavern. Admire stalactites, stalagmites, and flowstones. See ancient carvings,  indicating the use of the site as a ceremonial center and astronomical observatory for the prediction of agriculture, rains and drought cycles. 

Snorkel Tour to Ixtapa Island By Boat

Come enjoy a 45-minute boat ride to Ixtapa island departing from Majahua Village (north of Troncones). Once there snorkel along the reef to see many different species of fish, crustaceans, mollusk, and corals that represent the local biodiversity. On our boat ride, we have the chance to admire the beautiful coastline and see whales, dolphins, and sea turtles.  After snorkeling, there is a time to relax on the white sand beach, and enjoy an optional fresh seafood lunch at our favorite beachfront palapa.

Bird Watching on River & Jungle Trails

Let us share our passion for birds, as we explore whit you either the river or mountains trails. Many migratory and resident bird species spend part of the year in our area. Come walk the trails and observe our great diversity of birds and their activities within the ecosystem.
